Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Stacknpass (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Stacknpass mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile data from those services.

Pod & Financial Data. We store details about the savings pods you create or join, including contribution amounts, payout schedules, and round history. We do not process payments directly — all financial transactions are handled by third-party payment processors.

Messages. Messages you send within pod chat threads are stored on our servers so they can be delivered to other pod members.

Device Information. We collect your device's push notification token so we can send you notifications. We also collect basic device metadata (OS version, app version) for crash reporting and diagnostics.

Contacts. If you grant permission, we may access your device contacts solely to help you invite friends to a pod. We do not upload or store your full contact list on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To operate savings pods (matching members, tracking rounds, scheduling payouts)
  • To deliver in-app messages and push notifications
  • To calculate your Stack Rating and globe rankings
  • To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
  • To improve the App through aggregated, anonymised analytics

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Pod Members. Your name, profile photo, and contribution status are visible to other members of pods you join.
  • Service Providers. We use third-party services for hosting (Cloudflare), authentication, push notifications (Expo), and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations.
  • Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication tokens, and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., contacts access)
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@stacknpass.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the App or sending a push notification.
